Before I bolted on the light bar I got the urge to strip and re-paint the bumper. Yeah... so after 5 minutes of sanding I got bored of that and sprayed it with some black Rustoleum (official color of the ZJ). In this picture you can see the three new 1/2" holes I drilled in the bumper, two to the left of the "frame" hole, and one above the hole.
Note: I drilled the holes 3/4" in from the edge of the light bar's mounting plates. This put the nuts pretty close to the uniframe on the backside of the bumper, 1/2" would have worked out better. |
